public attention driving around town in the CNE 1926 award-winning Model House on his 1949
Austin.

We were to be the first couple ever to be married at the P.N.E. But because of all the controversy by church leaders of the affair, we were married on the lawn of our home, had a 60 car police escort out to the P.N.E., the Bride put on one million dollars worth of loaned crown jewels, and the Groom gave his wedding speech in front of 10,000 people. The reception was held at the Cave Supper Club in Vancouver. Wilf & Marion never did go on the free Honeymoon tickets to Mexico City, they ended up giving them to the Best Man.
